ARTS & CRAFTS WOODWORK PACKAGE.
.
The Vision
The owner wanted nothing short of his magnum opus. A home with romantic nostalgia for the Arts and Crafts homes built in the 1920s, which emphasized simplicity in form, truth to material and often medieval or folk styles of decoration.
The Realization
From the moulding profiles to the telephone niche in the main hall, the aesthetic of the woodwork makes the project feel truly authentic while meeting the client’s exacting desires.
- Hard-to-find Cedro Macho wood was purchased by the trunk, dried and milled by Amazon Millworks master artisans in Lima, Peru
- The project required more than 40,000 square feet of milled Cedro Macho wood
- No putty or filler was used in the installation — all screw and nail holes were plugged with matching 3/8” Cedro Macho plugs
- All doors were made from solid 1 ¾” Cedro Macho and include operable transoms that open into each room
This immaculate, one-of-a-kind home will be a legacy the owner leaves to his family and the world.
The Investment
$400,000 (does not include installation)
