The Vision

The intent of this design was to create a look rich in old-world accents and with authentic construction and heft. A space inspired by libraries found in traditional English Manor-style homes.

The Realization

Starting with only the finest genuine mahogany, our master artisans hand-carved and hand-finished a library that is as much a place of luxurious respite as it is a bold focal point.

• Panels that are 1 ½” thick, hand-distressed and antiqued — had to be installed by crane due to the weight of the mahogany
• 8’ tall cabinet doors that are 1 ¾” thick with ½” hand-wrought iron designed by Amazon Millworks; cabinet backs are solid wood and use 6” tongue-and-groove boards
• 10’ tall genuine mahogany doors that feature solid bronze lion head knockers
• Ceiling created using raised profile wallpaper that was painted to resemble an antique metal ceiling

This project contains no plywood or MDF.
